We are a growing art studio in Philadelphia that builds and restores stained glass windows. Looking for part time and full time help that meets the following criteria:
Detail-oriented
Experience working with stained glass a plus, but not required
Willing to learn new skills as different types of projects come through the studio
Background in trades or fabrication a plus
Able to lift and move up to 50 lb panels of glass
Careful, able to precisely handle fragile artwork
Able to climb/work from ladders/scaffolding when on site
Drivers license, background with driving van/truck a plus
Able to stand/be on feet and work at workbench or on site majority of workday
Illustration/painting skills a plus
Experience working with color/design a plus
Job responsibilities would include:
removal and installation of stained glass windows on location
working with power tools to repair woodwork/metalwork
following specific processes to restore stained glass panels in studio
puttying/waterproofing stained glass panels
working with hand tools to cut glass, assemble panels, solder panels
working as a team to complete projects in a timely manner
Pay is between $15-$25/hr, depending on experience
